You find out you don’t “get” certain artists, writers, poets, philosophers, film snobs, music snobs, snobs of any kind, not because you’re intellectually incapable, but because they are pretenders.

When you know for a fact that there’s nothing cognitively wrong with you, you can spot pretenders really easily.
