Is there any evidence to suggest long term sleep deprivation causes health issues like cognitive decline, insulin resistance, changes in metabolism etc? What even constitutes long term sleep deprivation? Does having a nap for example reset that sleep deprivation? Imo this is all nonsense. Its all vague and nothing specific is shown.

There is a few ways to get it
1. Hypervitosis D3(past 200mcg per measure), without taking enough Magnesium or K2 to offset it
2. Apnea or UARS to get quite a bit below acceptable level
3. Most major power armies has studied it on conscripts, mostly by simulating getting shelled for a week or two while having to do measurable activities
4. Surgery or damage when body is too damaged to let the patient fall asleep without painkillers... but still good enough to not fall into coma, very measurable

This is what hacks actually believe. Idiots that have nice easy lives with outstanding salaries and came from money anyways and can't possibly conceive a patient could be sleep deprived and if they are it's just a matter of CBT and sleep hygiene, both of which have absolutely no evidence of working. Sleep deprivation can be induced by stress alone and the stress of immediate demands and obligations can push the organism to persist to the point of exhaustion or death in total absence of apnea, vitamin d toxicity, stimulants or pain. Insomnia is the worst and most prevalent condition that goes untreated. A decade of untreated insomnia is likely to end in death so it's even worse than the OP meme.

It's much easier to ignore sleep deprivation if you literally believe it doesn't exist and only extreme situations as defined can provoke insomnia which allows fools to sell intangibles like useless advice and words guilt free.

Z-drugs and benzodiazapines remain the safest hypnotic agents especially if given at the lowest dose and the patient is a non drinker. The sleep under them is inferior to nonmedicated sleep but is certainly better than no sleep and can extend a patients life by many decades.

After 10 years of destroed sleep regime (sleep 3-4 hors max and frequent 48 hours wothout sleep) I barely can count change when I buy something. 10 years ago I was able count integrals in my head. Every day I pray to not having a fucking stroke.
And I constantly "hear" white noise. It's not a fuckin tinitus. This shit makes a constant squealing noise from inside my head
