Like the majority of humans in the past, I make sure to stare at the night sky semi-regularly.
I observe that the stars appear to rotate on an axis. If I only had knowledge of my approximate location in a 200 sq mile radius, perhaps I could be persuaded that the sky merely "does that."
But with knowledge of how the sky appears on the equator and in the southern hemisphere (the entirely different sets of stars as well as a different Southern Polestar), I conclude that the Earth is spherical. There is no other way to explain how the night sky looks at disparate locations on the Earth.

That isn't a sphere because every latitude and longitude line loops back to where it started without crossing. Additionally, the tile spacing is consistent throughout and every latitude and longitude line is the same length.

Why did they say this? it's never explicitly stated like this in the Old Testament, and everyone else had already figured the Earth was a globe.

We live on a cubic sphere. The sky expands more in each direction than normal, creating an open sky effect. When stood on a field with only the sky above and out front, a perfect center around us is drawn. Any action is thus cubic in nature and bodys and minds are cubic. The open sky is abstracted and blocked by civilization(the simplest telephone pole in the way abstracts the sky); but the open sky shines through in cubic rectangle or square blocks. Proving that the Earth sphere is cubed.
