If you think governments are in the business of hiding their best military technology, why wouldn't China do the same thing? China actually has much more control over their population's speech and their government and army has a more vertical and centralized structure so it should be easy for them to hide secrets than it is in the US.
There aren't even any good examples in history of things like this happening. Most military technologies are revealed to the public or used in war immediately after they're finished being developed. For example, the development of the B-2 was highly classified yet rumors and leaks revealed its existence during the development. Then as soon as one of them was finished they rolled it out and let the public see it. And that's basically the most futuristic and surprising plane they ever came out with. Today it would be even harder to keep a secret since everyone in the military is posting anonymous tiktoks and spy satellites and drones surveil every inch of the earth 24/7 with millimeter resolution. China has full access to everyone's phone and there are spies in every university and company.
When they made the F-35 they didn't even bother making it a secret, and the entire production was televised like a reality show. Everything Boston dynamics makes is posted on YouTube for publicity and they send their robots to do public performances and demos. What do you really think they have that's better than what we see?
We will probably never see technology that's as surprising as the B-2 ever again since America is a crumbling empire where most of our effort is spent on paperwork and most of our money is wasted or embezzled, and the low hanging fruits of technology are already picked.
