concluding there's a bird in the hallway is the midwit pseud take. why the fuck is a bird in the hallway? it's more likely a recording of a bird, such as someone's alarm clock. and for all we know, maybe they lost their phone there. or maybe it's friends playing different bird sounds on a youtube video. you can't know, and if you confidently come to a conclusion that there must be a physical bird in the hallway, then honestly you need to self-exile from this board, since you're obviously not a scientist.

Perhaps, what you did not anticipate Mr.BSM, is that the hallway is in a superposition of both chirp and silence, and this superposition collapses into either a chirp or silence only when heard by the eardrums of minorities.
