What classifies as porn "addiction"? If I masturbate to an ecchi pic for 2 minutes every other day, how is this the same as other addictions where hours are spent? Is it the magnitude of pleasure from an undeserved coom?

Addiction means that you compulsively engage in an activity despite adverse consequences.
If you were offered an incentive to quit watching porn that was obviously preferable to watching porn, would you have trouble quitting?

>how do you define "obviously preferable"
OP indicates he'd rather have one outcome than another.

Yes, it's subjective. The whole point is that if OP did have a good reason to quit that he personally agrees with, and he had trouble quitting despite said incentive, then he is addicted.
If it's simply something he enjoys doing and has no good reason to quit, then it doesn't qualify as an addiction.

if it's not causing issues in other areas of your life, it's not a problem

If it were a direct incentive like giving me a dollar a day or something I would but not the "incentive" that it'll somehow fix my neuroticism. Porn addition or compulsions or whatever are often a crutch for deeper issues like my failure to protect my mom and older sisters from bad men.

What defines causing issues? I have no desire for relationships anymore. I doubt porn is the root of that issue.

What incentive?

The only real incentives I know of are storing semen to impregnate your wife, avoiding it a couple of days to look forward to more intense orgasms, or if gooning is genuinely destroying your prostate and you already feel painful symptoms.

Jacking off is physiological, as much as having sex is. Would you say having sex every day is too much? twice a day? cumming 3 or more times in a single session?

One could outline goal based normal parameters for sexual activity. I could say ejaculating every 2 days is optimal for pleasure, ejaculating more than 2 times per session starts causing strain in your prostate's irrigation and pain, and that 2 sessions per day is harmless enough. You could make a study about people getting non-infectious prostatitis from long gooning sessions or going past these proposed limits, still that has to do with the use of your ejaculatory system rather than "masturbation" itself.

What that incentive would be, intrinsic or extrinsic, doesn't matter. It's about if he'd have trouble if such an incentive came up.

Let's say he went broke and needed a place to live. And the only place within his budget had the arbitrary rule, "no masturbation." If that would be a problem for him, that's an addiction.
