>>16710406Pajeet?? India is largely irrelevant in mathematics. The pajeet stereoytypes come from computer science and machine learning, not math.
I don't look at third party rankings, they can be gamed and they are often dogshit, even more so for math that has a different publishing culture than the rest of academia. If you have spent more than 5 minutes in grad math or beyond, you are aware of the different journals and what quality of papers they tend to accept.
But that's not even important, you think I rate Tao solely because of some of the journals his papers are in, when the causality is reversed. I rate him because I've spent time around people more knowledgeable than me who are able to assess his output accurately and they rate him and his works ends up in certain journals consequently.
Do I think math and its publishing culture is 100% meritocratic? Of course not, humans are involved. But that doesn't mean you can never tell greatness either.
Anyway, go respond to this with some deliberately obtuse misinterpretation of what I'm saying so you can continue to be argumentative. Sprinkle in some other races as well, you haven't mentioned blacks yet but I am sure you will be able to weave it into your reply. Lastly, don't forget to make broad and sweeping assumptions about me based on the limited information I have presented.
