the ends of the green rope would be dangling down, while the black and red rope, as well as the springs would be unchanged, because somebody is holding the black rope. the black weight might also swing a little to the left, but it looks like it won't be far enough to turn this into a spring puzzle, thankfully. just whatever you do, don't let go of the black string, or someone will make you do math against your will.

springs get shorter but the ropes are longer so the total length stays the same because they calculated it beforehand
