Why does gravity warp space? Or does it?

It does, it's because of the Einstein tensor, as energy and mass spread out. When you put mass and energy into a region spacetime curves out

Just wait until you find out that electromagnetic fields affect electromagnetic waves.
(This is technically schizobait. If you take this unintended bait, please fuck the hell off.)

It doesn’t. Gravitons apply negative force and cause objects to attract to one another.
There is no such thing as “space time” as a “thing” that can be “warped”
Space is a lack of literally anything. It isn’t even a medium through which things travel. It’s simply nothing. Particles like photons and gravitons travel at the speed of causality through empty space.

Are the gravitons in the room with us right now?

Please expand, as these appear contradictory.

It doesn't, the aetheric fluid drag caused by the rotation of massive objects like the Sun refracts light and creates the impression of "warped" space. It's impossible to warp or bend empty space which is merely a mathematical abstraction.

The word "through" is an artifact of language that is required to explain the movement of objects.
In the vast majority of circumstances, there is a medium through which to pass.
The only exception is empty space. Which is literally nothing. There is nothing to pass through. Yet, as an artifact of language, it must be described that things "pass through" empty space.

But there's still distance, that's not "nothing". Actual nothingness shouldn't involve empty space.

Distance isn't a physical "thing"
It's just distance.
>Actual nothingness shouldn't involve empty space.
if you took away matter and energy what would "space" be?

Space is smoot
The sun rises in the east and sets in the west
The univers is expanding and the center of our galaxy is a black hole
Not a wormhole
Just incomprehensible dense matter requiring black physics

Dont ask why, physics Theories arent actual Truth. They are models that work well.

It can be modeled as doing so.
Whether or not "the fabric" of space is real is kind of irrelevant, it could just be a useful model and not a real physical thing. Or subject to human perception.

Can you stop treating abstractions as "real"?
There is no "fabric" of reality. Only reality.
If all you had in reality was empty space, you could say that "reality is nothing - nothing exists"
Neither does "reality" require anything to exist.

Sabine says gravity is now a force, not curvature of anything and theres no graviton but like 4 particles that have a combined effect of something like a graviton. She says it can be quantized and that it gives the GR equations when taken to a classical limit, but its only an effective model because all the calculations are done with flat spacetime

They don't "know" anything.
They're constrained by subatomic forces.
>how far to reach with their forces
I'm going to assume you're baiting and not actually this retarded... but think back to Sir Isaac Newton.

Think of a black holes / singularity as a location where the building blocks are broken down to the smallest possible size, and packed into the tightest possible arrangement devoid of empty room for building blocks to pack into, so no building blocks can move anywhere at all.
Time has stopped because time is the movement of 1 foundational building block.

We don't know what's going on inside a black hole in the first place. We've got theories, sure, but definitely no way to verify them.
It's best to not worry about it too much.
