>be me
>VT mountains 3 years ago
>4am
>-15F
>wake up
>see faint glow on mountain top above house through window, maybe 1500 ft away
>weird, no one should be up there in this weather, no trail leads up there
>grab binocs
>picrel (obviously reconstructed) glittering white lights (very small) rising up through the trees in a column, starting maybe 15-20 ft off the ground, slowly drafting up just above the tops of the pines maybe 80 ft. just floating up at maybe a bit faster than the speed steam rises, very lazily.
>definitely no campfire below them, no people that i could see
>not meteors as they were passing through and lighting up individual tree branches locally
>open window, completely still freezing night, no sound at all, no snow, no wind
>no ufos, magicians, ghosts or other /x/ shit present
>just glittering white lights appearing off the ground wafting up and disappearing
>shrug and go to bed
>hike up to the area next morning, nothing there, just rocks, moss, trees
>never seen again
