when will we find a method for humans to absorb information faster?
reading and conversation is so fucking slow

imagine if one could process a book in a minute
a full education that takes just a week

I don't think it's ever happening, thinking is boring for most humans especially because of how our brain works, make critical thinking the next pandemic or something lol. But having something that could make me understand 6 months worth of studying in a week would be phenomenal

Consider if you will, just how long humans have implemented "schools" whereby young students learn from experienced peresons to gain knowledge faster, and just how poorly schools are doing today. My first year of high school the hours were 8:25 am to 1:20 pm. But gosh the super smart legislators decided to change the hours the following year to 7:05 am to 3:15 pm to teach the same materials. Decades later it was revealed to everyone's surprise that kids need more sleep since they are growing fast and making them get up early to spend all day in school with no breaks and much less time to study after school would have serious negative effects. 100 years from today education will be no better. The best chance really is for you parents to be able to afford great tutors to speed you along your development cycle so you can reach your full potential.

Historical geniuses would follow a multi-phase sleep schedule to squeeze in extra hours to work on their pursuits. They were also extremely dedicated and committed many hours to their work. If you pray Tahajjud like the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) you can keep a multi-phase sleep schedule by waking up in the late third or the night and taking a nap in the high heat of the day.

Da Vinci, Tesla, Edison, Fuller, Churchill, Bonaparte, Dali, Franklin all kept a polyphasic sleep schedule. They also worked obsessively for hours on end in their field of study.

Replaying another person's thoughts isn't the bottleneck. Education is slow because developing your own style means figuring out which parts of authors/composers/languages/notations are good.

problem is most books and information are full of bullshit
we don't need faster "education"
we need more critical thinking.

Train a system to keep track of what you know or find obvious.
Train another system to only show you the new stuff when learning.
