> He had a remarkable sense of æsthetics. Yet I never understood his attraction to ugly women. I also cannot understand why he always lived in frightful homes: he worked at night, in general in a horrible room with the plaster falling off the walls, and turning his back to the window (seeking what secret humiliation?) And yet, when he sought mental images to explain his scientific ideas, he spoke of “the beautiful perfect manor”, the “lovely inherited castle”, all these allegories about beautiful homes.

Some of that might be explained by his upbringing, which occurred during the holocaust. He was never sent to one of the really bad camps, but he had a rough childhood by any objective measure, had to bounce around a lot in various shabby living arrangements and relatively "soft" camps that weren't out-and-out death factories. It didn't help family stability that his parents were anarchist scumbags who insisted on helping the bad guys in the spanish civil war.

As long as the main structure of the house/residence is intact and the basic fixtures work (heating/plumbing), you might not be as worried about little details after growing up like that.

You idiot. The death factory claim is a disproven myth about turning people into soap and furniture and it was not meant to happen at the camps but rather at actual factories. There were no "bad camps" and "soft camps", if the Jews were to be believed they were all death camps, as it was a process of extermination and yet none of the 60% of the camp inmates who were not Jewish noticed anything, the towns people jn the surrounding area noticed nothing, the red cross who came to inspect the camps found nothing and no bodies have ever been recovered, revealing that it was all a lie just like the "Death factories" which exist nowhere.

But you know what is real? Israel, the Jewish ethnostate and theocracy murdering children, playing red light green light with starving civilians and machine guns, keeping dead inmates in freezers until they carry out sentences, debating the legality of raping prisoners in what passes for government there, skin banks with miles of Palestinian skin, illegal organ harvesting from children, feeding young girls through tubes down their throats, and shooting and bombing medical and aid workers. These are the crimes dreamt up and then perpetrated by a sick society, the same people that dreamt up the nazi crimes and then tried to project it and pin it on an entire race and religion for pity points.

the only reason that people are contemptible towards category theory is because of their greed and impatience for tangible results.
You want smart people to exist, but only if they live in your cattle pen, do your bidding, and let you harvest their produce.
Keeping them safely contained and dependent, preventing anything unforseen to be created, so that hypothetical discoveries can not destabalize the current regime.

You want loyalty without trust, and dont care who or what it destroys

Probably just didn't give a shit, i can relate. I don't have a sink in my place and i've been putting off installing it forever it's been like months of doing the dishes in the bathtub at point. It's not like i don't have the money i already bought the damn sink I just don't care.
