Basically social media and online dating has increased your competition, instead of competing with your village you are now competing with the whole world
she sees your face besides some super giga topmodel, so she will always be thinking she is missing out on something if she doesn't get the top model guy.
Now, if some of these extremely attractive guys pumps and dumps her one for fun, f.e. through tinder, it will give her an ego boost and make her think she actually deserves a guy like that and that you, her actual looks match, is far below her

but ppl can't take this reality,
some have survivorship bias or delude themselves when a 30+ woman begrudingly settled for them after she realizes her looks started fading real fast

if you're showing me a photo of random man out of context and I don't know anything about his personality or what he does then yes I don't find many men attractive just from a purely physical standpoint. however most men that I think are really attractive are not just because of how they look but because I like their personality or they make me laugh etc and then that makes me think they're a 10

Depth of detailed SYMMETRICAL facial features, yet the ratio must be solid, because somehow I cannot pinpoint there exists a connection between symmetry and genetic resistance to disease and sickness.
Perhaps the greater the symmetry becomes unaligned, the higher the chance for new mutations, but also the higher risk for those mutations to be negative?

Somehow we innately, instinctualy, genetically tie the association between symmetry and positive gene passing.
And there appears to be truth to it.

Aside from the Alpha/Hunter/Dominance features of hunter eyes, hunter jaw, shoulder width, height, we know height and weight dominate fighting sports, and so height is a huge part of mating selection.

Women developed the nuclear weapon of makeup and fashion, both of which they gate-keep against men and simultaneously use against men to lure in for mating.
Men cannot wear lipstick, eyeliner, blush, bright clothing colors nor alluring fabrics and textiles in order to mate, stuck to the potato sack and bar soap.
But FemBoys, Traps, Twinks and Twunks are developing in the world of men to tip the scales, as it were.
