How come some animals like ducks and turkeys lose their fear of humans but not squirrels and crows?

Most mammals/birds are chill with you if you feed them and don't abuse their trust.

Squirrels completely lose their fear of humans way more than ducks. They start crawling on you and you have to kick them off and shit, ducks still give you space. Wild crows are fearful as fuck though even if you feed them for 10 years they think you're gonna poison them.

Crows literally use traffic to crack nuts, that doesn't seem like fear, it seems like exploitation.

don't feed them bread. bread is not nutricious for them and it just fills their stomachs so it gives them a false sense of satiety. you're actually harming them by giving them bread. nuts, berries and worms are the best bird food. basically things they already eat in nature.

If we ever start using dollar coins extensively, I'm going to train crows to "obtain" them, with a nut as payment.

actually let me effortpost a bit more
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestication_syndrome
it is actually atrophy of wildtype traits such as alertness, and can be interpreted as a form of mild retardation
now the important part is reading between the lines, does this set of traits remind you of something?
