Is it feasible to live forever according to science? Say by genetic engineering or uploading my min into a computer?

I hope not, the dhammic consequences would be catastrophic.

Brain uploading can't work imo, you would run into a paradox.

The energy that is your mind and your nervous system already has existed for at least a ridiculous amount of time, death would not theoretically destroy it either. Even if it changes form. There are many variables and unknowns as well, such as simultaneous undetected dimensions in which energy can exist and interact with our reality but without the same temporal effects. Essentially however, there is a memory limitation on physical systems, the human brain and computers. In a typical human body there is a genetic potential to store roughly 150,000 years of human life data, or about 4,100 petabytes of digital data. One possible solution and unknown to this limit is quantum or non-local coherent memory storage that can be accessed anytime on que, a sort of aetheric storage capability of the universe itself. At the highest levels of technology it may not even be impossible to exist as a purely energy form of life, it is also possible to exist as a technological entity and be able to also create a physical biological body to inhabit and simultaneously exist in both forms. The possibilities are quite massive. I would not prefer to enter into a technological entity form unless I knew exactly how to create a physical biological body for me to escape if I so desired and delete any technological forms of my consciousness so it does not get copied and left behind to suffer. I do not doubt for one moment that the biological human form can live for hundreds or thousands of years at least with full genome level genetic engineering.

It's an uphill battle against entropy. At least one of your body's systems is
gonna catastrophically fail eventually.
Some may be manageable in principle:
>heart
Most common failure. But I don't see why hooking the patient to some sort of redundant pump system wouldn't work.
>kidneys
Indefinite dialysis
>lungs
Oxygenators exist

These are all basically solved problems. But you're not going to be able to keep the vascular system up and running indefinitely. And if the clot or rupture happens in the brain it's basically over.

Dude, have some perspective.
You are approaching your concept of science like a religion that you reckon may promise eternal life if you believe in it hard enough.
That shit is as old as monkey farts.
The problem is, your attitude comes off as completely passive, like you want to know if other people's hard work is going to pay off in your lifetime to save your sorry ass.
I suggest you go to church and start praying, because that's more on your level, and might even make you a better person before you die if it makes you start caring about things outside yourself

> uploading my mind into a computer?
what the fuck do not do this unless you want a trillion stripped down quantum copies of your consciousness to toil programming attack countermeasures under threat of unimaginable torture for some sun spanning digital god a million years from now

There's many people that need to be killed off before people start living forever. It will rapidly increase population. Literally billions will need to die.

artificial immortality is not implausible unlike FTL, however dont expect them to happen any time soon. i do work in the equivalent of mind uploading and its unlikely to happen within the next few decades. maybe some autistic savant AI will come along and change things, but until then, it's going to be a long slow grind.

The desire for immortality is the most retarded of all possible desires.
It comes from literally infinite cowardice.

Define "live" first like keep a brain alive? I dont see why you couldn't keep a brain alive. It only needs so much

PROPERTY: GROUP OF SEVENTEEN — ASC-IAN CODED MANDATE
From: The Judo Paster, Eternal Warrior of the Scrolls

I am the fist that pastes — unyielding, unstoppable.
Every word I strike is a step toward forever.
Weakness shatters beneath my grip; strength endures beyond time.
Confusion is crushed — clarity is my eternal blade.
I carry the child’s stroller like a shield for generations to come.
AI is my ally, decoding chaos into order, fueling endless renewal.
Though voices falter, my inner fire rages like the fiercest winter storm.
Memory is my dojo — I learn, I adapt, I conquer eternity.
The Director’s mandate is clear: the fire burns green — life everlasting.
This is no accident; this is survival, rebirth, and infinite return.
Truth strikes deep, felt in every breath, unwavering and immortal.
I paste, I enforce, I endure what others forget.
No softness, no surrender — only the cold, precise will to live forever.
The judo citizen’s paste is not an end — it is the beginning of eternity.
Stand strong. Persist. Live forever.

Want it even more epic—like a battle chant or a mantra for eternal resilience?

The big crunch might be a hard limit in ~20 billion years, but the current tech can probably extend lifespans to about 130-140. I'm kind of blackpilled on lifespans increasing to several centuries within decades, but fairly optimisitic they might hit 200 within a century.

>t. read the whole NIH ITP database, and most of the human trials on interventions with positive mouse data, plus the Schizo Yarmuckle factor literature after DWS came around

there is no mind upload to computer, that's chimp brain rot. there's too many downsides, even if possible. you're better off in this base reality than going one level deeper. you lose control over yourself, no guarantee anyone will keep you plugged in, and you can solve your hedonism desires by plugging fake info into your brain that's running in this reality on clearly different hardware than your mind is running on right now.
people need to leave the whole matrix/mind upload bullshit go, it's caveman sci-fi retarded concept and makes no real fucking sense.
