I can't quit vaping, I switched from normal cigarettes to vaping and now I'm supposed to quit vaping but I just can't, what is the correct approach to this dilemma? Should I try waking up one day and just quit cold turkey?

Just get some willpower and stop buying it. It’s not that hard to quit nicotine actually people just hate feeling a little bad for a few days

I chain smoked for decades.
Here is how I quit: I told my piece of shit father in law that I was quitting.
Then I threw out several hundred dollars worth of cigarettes and my entire ashtray collection, crystal and all, and that's it.
I will never ever smoke again. Not even in the dead of night when I am in a fishing shack 400km from the nearest living human that I reached via sled.
I don't want to live in a world where he has anything on me.
It made the entire process so simple.
Spite is by far the most powerful emotion. harness it.
Here are real things that you can genuinely look forward to: You no longer exist upon a timer from when you need to obtain more nicotine. You will have completely use of both hands at all times.
Also, if my lungs can rebound from decades of actual cigarettes, yours can too. The same for your tastebuds, you are missing out on complexities that you can not perceive at this time.

A whole bunch of L theanine blocks the nicotonine metabolic pathway from releasing dopamine and serotonin, effectively, L theanine stops the smoking feels good feeling if taken in high enough doses.

I suggest taking 1 gram of theanine then increasing it by 1 gram at a time until you reach something like either 5 grams a day or 10 grams a day.

I think 5 grams a day or 5 grams whenever you feel like smoking should do it.

Remember to take it whenever you get a I need to smoke feeling, it blocks the feel good feeling from smoking.

Yes.
But it sounds like you don't really want to quit. You won't make it.

There are vapers that you can choose the liquid for, this means that they allow you to choose the % of nicotine in it, so get set on those, and reduce nicotine gradually in long enough time so you can tank it. Once you've reached 0 nocotine and some time tou're basically free from the adictive part

You need a multifaceted strategy incorporating many of the suggestions people here have made. To add my own:
Take at least several weeks off to go somewhere isolated and secluded, like zero people around you and no nearby shops. without taking any nicotine, where you can get stoned out of your fucking mind and just sleep most of the time, awakening only to eat, drink, and get stoned again.
Disclaimer. This works if smoking weeds makes you sleepy, and makes vaping or smoking ciggies unappealing. Works for me but everyone is different. Otherwise could be a waste of time and money for you.
If so then 3 weeks would see you through the worse of the cold turkey. Anything after that is easy street, but have a back up supply of gum or lozenges waiting for you at home in case of late cravings caused by triggers such as stress, other people smoking around you, etc.
Con: This will cost you a lot of money ( for the weed , and the travel, food, and accommodation costs, and 3 weeks of your life.
Pros. This effectively makes you immune to the worse of the initial cravings. This will cost you less money in the long run than vaping for the rest of your life, and will probably add more than 3 weeks to your life. Just dont turn the weed smoking into a habit ( highly unlikely unless you are already a massive stoner )

What's so hard about quitting smoking?
Throw out all your fags and don't buy any more.
If you feel like shit just take some painkillers or something.

I just went and bought a "pack" of nicotine pouches, I'll give it a try
>>16727099
Well at least it's something and my lungs will appreciate the effort

I know it's not hard but it's a whole lifestyle change and I have a hard time accepting it, idk how to say it (esl)

This is good advice BUT I don't want to play experiments with my brain, I've been down the nootropic rabiithole and I had a really bad experience with ginkgo biloba, and I swore I'll never touch supplements/extracts ever again
>>16727376
In my case it was the opposite, I kept lighting one after another and used to smoke a pack a day easily, the vaping helped and now I hope the pouches will help me with the vape

> You won't make it
That is kinda true but I'll still try
>>16727504
I vape using a store bought vape and the "recharges" are the same brand and come in different flavours but mainly two nicotine content (0 or 20 percent nicotine)
>>16727507
This chemical is unbelievable, it's so addictive and shitty plus the "high" it's weird
>>16727538
I cant tolerate THC/Cannabis, I could try with benzos which I have access to, and maybe it would work for relaxing and trying to forget about the vape, so thanks for the advice

what happens when you try and quit? does a jew literally show up to your house and shove a vape into your mouth from his crotch?

I’ll answer seriously. I was doing one pod a day with the juul.

Went down to 3% for a couple weeks or so. You’d think that I’d be hitting it more often due to the lower nicotine content, but I actually took the same amount of time to finish one 3% pod as I did with 5% pods.

I then tried quitting cold turkey supplementing with the weakest zyn pouch as needed if the cravings were really bad. To me it seemed like I was used to having a big oral fixation and sucking on a dumdum for 10 to 15 minutes helped a lot when used with the pouch.

I then learned from an ex-methhead on YouTube about what’s called “riding the wave” when you’re craving a substance.

It’s a form of meditation that helps a lot. When you feel a craving coming on imagine you’re sitting on a boat and there’s a huge wave of immense length approaching. Watch this wave (your craving) intensely and analyze your boat getting lifted higher and higher as the wave/craving intensifies. The wave will eventually crest and pass beneath you, and you can watch the wave/craving you’re carry you lower and lower until it’s gone. Learning this was magic
