>40 billion marbles
That's how many you would need to represent every Earth-like planet in the Milky Way that could potentially harbor life
And people think we're alone out here

>that could potentially harbor life
So no evidence of life whatsoever, just not enough information to completely rule them out.

The distance between life sustainable planets is just too great. DNA would evolve or disintegrate before it could traverse such distance.

Light doesn't even propagate through space the same way that matter does. It is 1 dimensional.

Those 40,000 planets aren't separated by 3D space, that is an antiquated model. The other planets that contain life would function, more accurately, like parallel dimensions.

3D space is an abstraction,
4D space is a boundary.
5D space is reality.

You're simple too stupid to see the extra dimensions with your primitive monkey Mathatics that you copied, btw.

You think that because you can memorize and follow complicated instructions that you're able to use your brain to it's full porential.

i'm sure that the universe is packed with simple life
life will appear wherever it can

it's intelligent life that is stupid rare and maybe only happens once every 100 million years at random places around the universe

40 billion marbles represent terrestrial planets in the habitable zones, assuming 10% stars have one

Sun has 3 planets and 1 dwarf planet in the habitable zone so Mars, Venus and Moon should all have advanced alien civilizations, right?
Self-evidently, no.
"goldilocks zone" around star is just 1 out of dozens of requirements to have a planet habitable for life

consider also other basic things like
>solar stability
>orbital stability
>no neighboring supernovas
>gravity
>atmosphere
>hydrosphere
>geological activity
>asteroid impact frequency
>the cosmic improbability of metabolism developing by random chance abiotically

if you assume these factors also have 10% chance to be "just right", then your 40 billion marbles instantly becomes 400 marbles
Each civilization would have 100 million star systems to explore before running into one another

all these instabilities are considered, however there are also planets that are added that, for example, have the perfect conditions for Si based lifeforms, so it also relativly evens out when we adjust our filter for life, to include more examples of life than carbonbased terrestrial based life.

if one considers Dawkin's memetics as a real phenomenon, then demons are real, predatory memetic lifeforms without corporal body.
Just like a computer virus is real and take over your computer, demon can take over your mind.
Demons live within human brain neural networks and can spread and infect you unless you have natural or developed immunity.
To defeat demons one has to have knowledge how to fight them (religious piety and righteousness) and isolate and eradicate the infected.
Some people are born naturally immune, some need drastic dogmatic measures to prevent outbreaks.
Cultural and religious dogma is like mental immune system. It may overreact, but if you destroy it, you get infected and may begin to spread demonic plague.
An opened mind is like an open wound, just waiting for infection to enter.

Black cell forest theorist here, any intelligent life we would see is long dead since we are seeing back in time, everything else out there is either too advanced to comprehend or detect and will kill us if we get out of line.
