>lrn2code hoping for a cushy code monkey job
Dumbest decision in the world right now. Right up there with heroin.
Absolutely do not.

>lrn2code on the side of whatever other skillset you're focusing on.
Probably yes. A simple script to crunch numbers for you and optimize your workflow is always a plus no matter the field and doesn't take much dedicated study to learn how to do. Bonus points if you fool around with electronics too.

You can do it as a hobby if you want. No need to ever use it as a job. And it's nice to have the option of writing a bit of software yourself, even if it's just for shitty simulations or something.

You are late by about 5 years. If you dont already know how to code you are behind everyone else

>If you dont already know how to code you are behind everyone else

Zoomers cant operate files
Boomers cant use a modern smartphone
Indians write shit code
Blacks and the other brown skins cant reason their way out of a paper bag
And anyone willing to learn coding (me) is fucking lost in life. The only ones ahead are the select few asians, whites, and jews(some being suicidal trannies). I want to control the machine and not be helpless when something faulty happens in a fucking computer

Meh. Canโ€™t be worse than studying science.

>is getting (skill) a mistake
Never.
Are you actually asking "will getting (skill) lead to a well paying career"?
If so then it depends on which industry you are talking about, PLC programming isn't going to allow the use of AI code for a very long time, same for ECUs. Lots of non-critical commercial software companies will try to lay people off and replace them with AI, we'll see how this works out of them over the next 5 years.

Yes, for people using windows in 2025 it's already over.

As much of a "mistake" as learning how to swim, read and write, solve basic math problems, ride a bike, and drive a car.

Softdev is for troons. I'd only go for hobby stuff.
