Why should schools waste time trying to teach students who are too stupid to understand the material? Schooling is only useful as a metric when it can be used as a proxy for intelligence. Teachers do their students a disservice by trying to teach them both by encouraging them to inevitability fail at something they are inherently incapable of and also diminishing the market signal of an education. This forces everyone to spend more time in an academic setting where the vasty majority of students aren't actually absorbing any of the information and the only ones profiting from this loss of time are the admins of these educational conglomerates
