I just finished my undergrad in math and physics. I had some graduate classes in algebra but during my last semester I took a directed reading in algebraic geometry.

I am wondering what resources might be useful to someone who has a solid foundation in the group-theoretic aspects of algebra but more lacking in the ring-theory/field-theory/algebra.

For reference the book I used to learn some basic Alg Geo was https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-319-16721-3

I am hoping to work towards understanding more about ring theory in the process along with just commutative algebra.

Atiyah-Macdonald, or Eisenbud if you're really serious about getting the full picture.
Probably worthwhile reading through the ring theory section of any of the introductory algebra books.
