snake researchers believed the snake went extinct on year 2005

but now 20 years later they found a number of these snakes

it is only 4 inches long! and it is thinner than your pinky finger

smallest snake ever and even smaller than another worm like tetrapodian animal: the worm salamander

worm salamander is related to frogs and salamanders but is completely snake like, with except the fact that because its not a reptilian it doesnt have scaly skin and is also otherwise reduced to amphibian state of development, meaning spawns on non shelled eggs set up at a pond etc.

the small snake of course lays snake eggs and even more minute baby snake emerges, you would never believe those are vertebrates

the micro snake eats insects like termites, anything that doesnt fly is fine

it is extremely rare find because even when it wasnt considered extinct, it was seen in total of 33 times during 150 years of research
