Why is there no vaccine for the common cold or the flu? I understand the "flu shot" exists, but if I understand it correctly it's usually just a weakened strain of the most common variants that year to "train" your body.
Meanwhile we have vaccines for stuff like the Measles or Polio which last for life, yet after all these years no one has figured out how to conquer the common cold, or the flu for good. But these drug companies will sell you ever side effect suppressor under the sun for them at a decent price. Is it really just money motivated to keep these diseases around?
