Reading made sticky and they mention asians are better at math because they teach better math, by using memorization and concrete daily life examples, americans try to teach math by using abstract ideas and don't relly on memorization.

It seems east asians teaching methods are superior to dirty dumb westerners.

Just exams being hard is enough and making passing the exam is the only way to enter universities funded by the gov.

Although the methods are slightly different, this isn't true and they're not better for understanding (actually the opposite). The difference is simply that they have higher standards institutionally, culturally, and from necessity.

That said for mathematics and other things there is kind of an obfuscating layer in the inherited language and outlook in English that isn't present.
