This is a straw man argument against Simulation Theory. The computer was always theorized to be quantum in nature not a silicone GPU of wires programmed in C. Further their failure to do their jobs, find a theory of everything, is being used as a proof that some theory they don't understand is false. This is beyond parody. Stupidity is not evidence of the nature of reality itself....it just means you're stupid.

It's a logical fallacy to assume the simulated beings would be able to prove they are in a simulation from their perspective with such simple methods. It is possible to prove but it wouldn't be so obvious and easy to prove. The Simulation is by it's very nature built from the ground up to stop such simulation breaking discoveries.
