I played this mod and got the diplomat/rule-abiding homofascist ending. Here's my review:
The good points:
1. I liked the aesthetics of the mod, and I am at the very least impressed by the decision to focus on such an obscure and controversial segment of history. Veh also came across as a character with a very strong voice - from what I've seen of the mod author's other work, he has a real talent for writing paradoxical characters.
2. I like how the absurd is played straight. On question 7, there's this funny moment where you, a gay man, can say women shouldn't be involved in politics because they should be off bearing children instead. This could've easily been milked for comedy but the dead factual feedback just made it more ridiculous in a good way.
The bad points:
1. Beneath the paint I dare say it's uncreative and tropey. It's yet another RTKH/Galen piece rehashing the same dilemma of "do you choose peace or violence?" he's written before in mods such as 2278Louisiana.
2. The "Nazi/Hippie Dichotomy" is a focal issue in mechanics terms, but almost all of the antagonism in the narrative comes from either the establishment or other right-wingers, making the issue come across as confused at best. I never once felt like hippies, who were supposedly my philosophical polar opposite, were a legitimate threat to my philosophy at any point in the narrative.
