He's referring to Sonic and The Black Knight, in which Sonic replaces king Arthur. I think the obvious answer is Saber. I can see arguments for Pretender or Foreigner though.

If you're talking about powerscales Nasu's glorious king #2 one-shots most of your servants with a bunch of space rocks and Super Sonic can most certainly take some to the face (I would know, I sucked at Sonic's last level in Sonic & Knuckles), so if Sir Sonic (form in the pic) is as strong as Super Sonic (not guaranteed), I'd say a lot. If you're talking about gameplay, story doesn't always translate well into it, so it would depend...

Shadow doesn't appear in The Black Night, though he does have a counterpart in that world (Lancelot).
