Can someone give me insight to the whole Russian / Ukraine fighting? To me, as an American, I have a hard time grasping why Russia even made the move to begin with knowing that the many other countries are soft supporting Ukraine. Like what does the regular joe Russian think of the war? I heard of some younger Russians comitting suicide to avoid the draft they had there. It sucks because it seems like an incredibly pointless war to even start but maybe I am missing something. I think I read someone summarize that "Imagine if Texas left the USA and then North Korea allied with them and they started building missile launch sites in Texas." Is that a fair comparison though?
