Its because they're just inherently easy to follow because they resemble a real life sport, its easy to follow 2 characters fighting it out, less so to understand something like a moba where you have 10 different players all over the map working on different objectives that only exist within that game, a literal boomer could look at SF6 and understand what's going, meanwhile you show them the LoL or Dota finals and they'd probably just get mad
