Metal Sonic is Cell
Shadow is Vegeta
Characters like Blaze and Jet are just one offs for their respective subseries. Blaze was just clashing with sonic because of misunderstandings, otherwise they are pretty much friends. Jet will come back once Sega does another Riders.
