Many Knight helmets would have ornamental horns for their *burial*. Many tombs have been unearthed with antlered horns. In parts of Europe, an antlered knight's helmet is even seen as a symbol of death/funerals. I don't think anyone's made this connection because I'm the only one really into medieval lore lol
