i had a shit upbringing and have almost no happy memories from my childhood and that misery has followed me into adulthood. kids deserve a happy upbringing because they'll bring those memories into adulthood and it'll shape who they are. thats why i care about kids.

kids, while they can be cunts, before a certain age their actions are based of nurture and nature and mostly cant be held accountable because they simply don't know better. if every kid had loving parents and a good upbringing we would be living in a perfect utopia and killers and sociopaths would be far and few between
