not sure if it's been discussed here, but I recently finished pic related (released last year).

enemy-to-lovers historical fantasy following the granddaughter of robin hood and the girl she kidnapped in retribution for her guardian helping the sheriff.

I guess it's one of those hit or miss books, at least seeing how the goodreads reviews are either 4/5 or dnf. it's a historical fantasy but written in a "modern" way, with a "woke" approach (diversity, gay/trans people in ye olde shire) and a quirky MC, so I guess it might put some people off.

the prose was very good, and the MC's terrible jokes totally worked for me. YMMV, but worth a read imo.
