thankfully not and i say this as the number one K-Onfag. if it came out or was even relevant today it would be infested with redditroons like Azumanga and BTR.

i mean its been ages since i watched the first two yryr episodes but i do have the impression that the series was slightly more laid back and cgdct, at least prior to the Chinatsu Incident
