I think this has to do with authenticity. Some older shows like Friends, Seinfeld or X-Files couldn't be made today, for different reasons. It wouldn't have the same soulful vibes. Also the actors/actresses in it seem more important and mature. They had actual star-power back in the day.
Zoomers grew up with Millenial TV shows, that was their childhood.
I see Zoomers also doing that with music, I have seen them listening to 90s/early 2000s music all the time to my surprise.
