The first Cult of Shuffle came about when a young woman named Shufflis ran away from her home as a slave in Thebes. After 6 nights she stumbled upon the Valley of the Muses, and fainted from exhaustion and wailed to the skies, "O Gods, how will I ever find foods?" Suddenly, a faint lullaby whirled around her like a breeze. "A soldier lay'd his trident and breath near the river you figure northwest." Sure enough when Shufflis traveled northwest she found the trident and bones. Finally she could eat! The days passed pleasurably, as just being free alone made her ecstatic. She didn't long for company, but her body started to degrade without it. Her fatigue grew worse and her brain scattered like the stars. "What is it about me that falters when the world seems so right?" A melody came to her again

The next morning a crowd of women shuffled over the hills into the valley. “Each of us had dreams of a place where the sweet songs of Euterpe provided the answers to all”
