I would recommend first reading an intermediate Cambridge grammar textbook to understand an overview of the different tenses, modal verbs, conditionals, clause constructions and especially what phrasal verbs are in English. Picrel is advanced level grammar that if you are a native speaker, you know intuitively, but is very hard for ESLs to grasp. For example reversing word order for emphasis is an advanced tier construction.

This is a completely different subject and kind of pointless to learn unless you study historical linguistics. Learning that English irregular verbs are actually regular but in separate categories makes them a lot more difficult than just labeling them as "irregular" and forcing rote memorization.

You will basically have to teach yourself English grammar even if you are native before you can teach it to ESLs
