hello and happy femroe Friday my fellow femroe fanatics
this week I present a poem on a peculiar prince's premarital prospects
I love femroes so much it's unreal

there once was a Prince who was to be wed
this day, his Father had feared and dread
as no matter the suitor,
there were none that would suit,
nor,
an inkling to what the young Prince sought instead!

"Son, 'tis a royal duty in life
to bless both King and country with a wife!
I love you so dearly,
but your stubbornness hath nearly
brought me to wit's end; enough with such strife!"

the young Prince intended neither malice nor scorn,
for how could his Father understand his heart, forlorn?
"I mean no ill will nor any contempt,
but Father, of the women brought forth, none were perfect!
Or rather, they were; uncannily so!
How can I love a woman who's only for show!?"

"From Ul'dah, the land of hot sands,
was sent a maiden with sun-kissed skin, yet sinister was their plan:
no more than a puppet for the Syndicate's greed!
To wed into wealth? Father, I shan't let them succeed!"

"And from the land of eternal winter, frigid Ishgard they sent
a cold, icy woman whose outward beauty was meant
to obscure and disguise the Church's grand schemes!
To wed into power? Father, 'tis their zealous dreams!"

"Lastly from Doma a far eastern lady sailed,
from the violent lands whence she hailed.
They seek men for war, nothing more Father!
To wed into conflict? Our people aren't fodder!"

engrossed were they that neither perceived
the handmaiden stood waiting with drinks, retrieved
newly hired was she and to the Prince yet unseen,
and at several fulms taller, looking up how his heart gleamed!

smitten was he with the roegadyn before him,
clad in servant's garb that was full to the brim!
clasping her hands that could, his own, crush,
"Father, 'tis She! The only woman to whom I've blushed..."

please enjoy the rest of your Friday and have a good weekend
in the words of another anon, "remember to be kind, even online"
thank you
