You're no longer a neutral party toward all participants of society but rather an opponent of any given party because to tolerate deviation from any group is accepting that any other group may be made destroyed or destroyer of the others. If neutrality causes the potential for a bad thing to happen then diversity paradigms are the ultimate in neutrality brinkmanship. In this case, you would be a genocidal maniac to promote it. While I entered this conversation being against slavery and the south and only wanted to point out that not every state actively supported it in the south along with other reasons for separation, I see now that segregation, slavery,and eventually the extirpation of foreign nations is ultimately necessary. The south was not universally supportive of slavery- but it should have been.

If the soul is governed by virtue, then no external power - be it god or devil - can seize it. For the soul is not a battlefield for superstition, but a realm of reason. What corrupts it is not lack of worship, but the harboring of ignorance, fear, anger, greed, and falsehood.
