Even with timing of YaBAI's release, I think it's less about the "spice" and more about lacking something that maeks it feel more intimate/personal. It's just that "spice" tends to have that effect
Like when the character is in something mroe casual or sleepwear. Something they wouldn't normally be in, it feels more intimate. Or if there's an odd, funny, interesting pose it feels more personal
Even with the "cultured gooner" lenses on I'd still say the imagination is probably doing a bit too much of the heavy lifting
I thought it was the artstyle being "plain" at first but it feels pretty accurate. I guess Iit just doesn't feel all that "special" aside from the obvious IRyS on it
