A lot of Elden Ring bosses are 10x more elaborate and advanced than all of their previous games but that's the issue. They're not doing this because they want to design a good boss, they're doing this because they think players want challenge so they make enemies faster with arbitrary attack timings that are completely separated from the realism of the animation tell, give the enemies a ton of attack strings, and make their attack strings vary depending on player positioning. Add in some retarded input reading so players never feel like they have a safe time to heal and you got the DEFINITION of artificial difficulty. Most of the bosses are pure trial and error, there is no way to understand how attacks work or their attack variations without bashing your head against them dying multiple times until you finally have seen everything and understand the logic of it's flowchart.
