I did try, two times, first one I kept losing the weight because it was rocky, the guy said it was the closest place for spinning but my rod was too short
Second time I went to a less rocky place deeper into the sea. Spent two hours tying mollusc to the hook for nothing, the fucking fish just eat it and I was surrounded by nigs smoking looking at me. It was not fun nor relaxing
