i know this is bait but i'll bite

there are different kinds of entertainment, some of them are more popular than others but for some segments of the population they find the less popular forms more engaging. maybe they prefer a more chill experience, or they share a particular sense of humour, or simply prefer one kind of personality over another.

don't tell me you actually judge quality based on how popular it is? was marvel and harry potter the apotheosis of media for you?
