At least it (somewhat) makes sense within Star Rail's context. The idea that there's some guy out there who can destroy entire star systems makes any other threat in Genshin feel meaningless.
If we were to take Skirk's account of Surtalogi seriously, we would drop everything we're doing right now and focus solely on training together with Skirk to stop him. Every other threat against Teyvat is secondary.
