Unlike the rest of the Knights of Seiros, clad in the traditional armor of their order, Cyril was in comparison dressed much more casually. He had a large, bushy beard; a traditional style sported by many Almyran men, and his bare arms still possessed a great degree of musculature despite the fact that he was now pushing into his 40s. Upon spotting you, he greets you warmly, and invites you to speak with him.

“Tristain d’Rusalka, I presume?” Cyril asks you gruffly. He offers you a firm handshake, allowing you to feel a measure of the man’s strength.

>“The one and only.”

“Cyril. Commander of the Knights of Seiros expedition here in Morfis.” He says, businesslike. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I hear that you were the one that defeated Klement von Bergliez. Tell me. Does Klement still live?”

>“As far as I know.” You shrug. “I spared him the final blow so that he could run back to Fodlan with his tail between his legs. In the state I left him, I don’t imagine he’ll be doing much more than that.”

“Hmm, I see. That’s good.” Cyril says, nodding in approval. “Klement was a wild card. One that was likely to cause trouble for the Morfisians, and by extension for the Archbishop. That being said, he is still the heir of a major house. Killing him may have had repercussions back home. You have my thanks for dealing with him in a non-lethal manner. I’d sent Arios to try and talk some sense into him, but it appears Klement needed a…firmer hand.”

>“Hah, yeah, that Arios guy didn’t really amount to much. Can’t rely on him for anything, that one.” You laugh. Before passing out, Klement had told you that Cyril was expecting Arios to win the Competition. As far as you saw it, all you had to do was convince Cyril you were a better horse to bet on, and he was sure to give you that bow.

“Right…” Cyril says, somewhat skeptical. As a Knight of Seiros himself, Arios would technically be Cyril’s subordinate. It seemed as though Cyril wouldn’t be won by slander towards his men. “In any case, my presence here is simply to ensure that this contest proceeds as smoothly as possible on the Fodlan side. I trust that you will continue to conduct yourself in a manner that is befitting of a representative of our home.”

This guy was all business, there was no doubt about it. He took his duties as a representative to the Archbishop seriously. The question was, how would you go about getting your hands on The Inexhaustible? Should you just directly ask him for it? Or should you beat around the bush and butter him up first?

>A): Bring up The Inexhaustibile directly.
>B): Ask Cyril who he believes will win, and then try to convince him why you are a better choice.
>C): Ask Cyril if there is anything he needs help with here in Morfis, and then volunteer yourself.
>D): Write-in
