I think you can blame 1.The sun, 2. the deadly worms, and 3. Harks/Atreides for their massive destructive blood feud and 4. The Emperor for being a jelly gigacunt who should have just married irulan to Paul. For the amount of slavers and raiders we kill it's surprising we dont see more slaves, so maybe some should be wearing harem outfits.
