I really didn't like the squirrel gag. it was dumb. why are people saying shit like "this is who superman really is, he values all life". no it's just a stupid gag. he didn't really save many humans at all in the movie. he saves a dog, a squirrel, another dog, monkeys, a alien baby, and barely any people. also the whole kaiju line about "we need to take it away from here and study it" why the fuck does he care about studying it? he should have said that they need to get it out of the city to somewhere uninhabited or something. also the citizens were vapid morons with no sense of danger. somehow they all disappear in certain parts and act like complete idiots in others. I don't buy that nobody died. people mysteriously disappear in some scenes and are back in others. the movie is really not meant to be taken seriously at all. if they wanted to do the crowd reactions and such they should have handled it more like the jurassic world films or early spider-man
