I don't think it is dying like PBS is dying. PBS is an institution that has outlived its usefulness -- we've seen it for the waste of money and as a platform for leftist propaganda, so it got its funding yanked.
I think the Internet is evolving. We may see some serious restrictions on the anonymity, so that chapter may be coming to a close.
