Whenever someone mentions a bubble, I don't get it. It goes way over my head. Can anyone explain to me what a bubble means?

If someone is making money, then they are being hired. If they are being hired, then there is a business hiring them. If there is a business hiring them, there is being invested money towards a business. If there is being invested money to a business be it from government spending or private investment, it is increasing the nation's aggregate demand. If the aggregate demand is being boosted, you are contrbutiing towards one of the key traits of a good economy. It's that shrimple. When people say the economy is fueled by faith, it is not just any type of faith, it is the faith in being able to generate wealth. If people have faith in being able to spend now, as they would be able to generate wealth later, then the economy is being affected by this in a positive way. Consumption + Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports = AD. There is no context in which consumption is considered to be a bad thing. Case closed.
