“He is, I can’t deny it. There’s something about Prince Alric that attracts people to him.” You said and watched your boyfriend give his speech.
“Not just his handsome youthful looks I presume.” Martin said and chuckled. “We all have heard the rumours, haven't we?”
You gave a look towards Martin while Williams looked away as if not wanting your attention.
“And while we fought, there were those who made sure we had the food, we had the medicine.” Alric continued.
“What do you mean?” You asked Martin while Williams looked away like not wanting to be part of any of this. Before Martin could answer, you heard your name to be called.
“Without the efforts of Madam Judy Martin and Miss Malevus of Quel’thalas.” Alric spoke and got everyone’s attention to turn towards the two of you. “Many of our men wouldn’t be here today.”
Alric paused and found your eyes, at least you thought he did across the grand hall before continuing.
“Martin and Malevus worked tirelessly through the campaign to help those who required surgery or advanced aid. Both their skills with needle and thread and with the blessing of the Holy Light, saved so many of us.” Alric spoke to everyone and continued. “And just as much it was our blades that dealt the killing blows to the gnolls, they were the ones that made sure we could do it. So cheer for them and make sure to go and thank them for every comrade of yours who is still alive today!”
“Martin Martin Malevus Malevus!” The soldiers and officers present cheered the two of you.
You felt embarrassed by the attention and forced a smile on your face. By the Light you wouldn’t be able to avoid others today. You would get Alric later for doing this to you.
“I thought he would do something like this...” Martin lamented. “He found me earlier today while looking for you and asked if I was willing to be the Royal Surgeon. I said no of course, but after he promised extra funding and an actual royal position with his word behind it I ended up saying yes.”
“Congratulations! That is a big honour.” You replied to her and patted her shoulder.
“Yes it is, but it just means more living patients who keep moaning and complaining.” Martin lamented more. You guessed that you can remove a mage from Underbelly, but Underbelly doesn’t remove itself.

QM: I chose to go with just two votes now to get another update out today. Also while Hulkenberg from Metaphor: ReFantazio has some Malevus qualities, sadly she isn't close enough most of the time.
