DPS=HPS is a design choice so you shoot the fucking healers. Almost all healers have half or less their HPS so they are the weak link in keeping the fight ongoing. Immortality ults help the team survive they are specifically high HPS and not damage immunity because they are countered by oneshot DPS like Namor, Ironman, Phoenix and Mags. Hell, Emma technically counters healer ult because she silences Ults the moment she looks at you and Thing will kill healers if he catches them in the ult stun.
